Today's woman doesn't have to worry about a choice of clothing designers to choose from. Do you buy clothes from celebrity designers? It seems that female singer, actresses and models have so many new fashion lines that it's all becoming a bit passe for some. Would you buy Jessica Simpson shoes? Beyonce Knowles fashions from House of Dereon? Jennifer Lopez offers fashions from two different lines, SweetFace and JustSweet. How about the Bitten fashion line from Sarah Jessica Parker?
Luckily some of these celebrity fashion designers have actually good fashions. Fashions that every woman can wear comfortably. Some are a mix of edgy clothing that appeal to younger women such as the case of JustSweet and Gwen Stefani's LAMB fashion line which is definitely edgy. Kimora Lee Simmons' line Baby Phat is an awful lot like Beyonce's Dereon fashion line. Both are trying to attract young African American women with a blend of hip hop and couture. Jennifer Lopez's fashion line SweetFace is high end fashion with high end price tags.It's a sexy grown up ready to wear fashion line that fashionistas of all ages will appreciate.
One thing we like about these celebrity fashion designers is that they haven't forgotten plus size women. It's easy to find Baby Phat and Dereon plus size clothes. The Sarah Jessica Parker Bitten clothing line goes up to size 22, although one major criticism of this fashion line is the clothing sizes tend to be way off, with a lot of women having to go up one or two sizes to fit into the jeans.
Another criticism of the SJP Bitten clothing line is it's cheap. What do women expect? No piece of clothing over $20? I'd rather shop at the Good Will. I'd get better made clothing there than I would buying Bitten. Some women say the shirts fall apart after only one wear and wash, again what do you expect?
Daisy Fuentes has a line of clothing out available through Kohl's Department Store. Her line of bathing suits has gotten rave reviews for style and fit. Daisy says that some of the fashions in her clothing line are inspired by her higher end fashions from designers such as Prada and Dolce & Gabanna.
What's better than being your own model? Ask Kimora Lee Simmons the head of design and in house model all in one at the line Baby Phat. Baby Phat was created by Kimora and her then husband Russell Simmons to embrace "ghetto glam" and it has become a favorite of celebrities and everyday girls since. The look of Baby Phat has been called "Hip-hop video dancer meets girly ice princess, Hello Kitty diamond tiara included."
